How long?
Can it really be 3 years since I started Rebecca’s Reflexology and Wellness? Time has flown by but, as they say, it does when you’re having fun!!
Pondering on what to write, I thought I’d ask myself some questions to avoid ‘blank page syndrome’.
Why did I start the business?
In essence, I started offering reflexology as I wanted to help people manage their stress and wellbeing, in particular, those in the workplace.
Three years ago, did I imagine I’d be where I am now?
Yes and no. I always felt I would achieve a strong client base for my treatments, which I have but, I have also taken a few unexpected turns along the way. For example,
I didn’t know that aromareflex was a thing, and now it’s my most popular treatment.
I didn’t know teaching parents how to give reflexology to their babies would be an avenue I would follow, yet, I love this work.
I didn’t imagine I would train to be a Reiki practitioner but again, I love this work and when combined with reflexology, it adds another level of relaxation and wellness to the treatment. And by no means least, I never imagined I would be running a local wellness market, with over 15 stallholders sharing therapies and artisan crafts.
What is my most surprising development in the business?
All of the above!
What am I most proud of?
It’s tricky to pinpoint one thing that I am most proud of as I believe the combination of all my achievements link together to make my business a success. I guess I’m proud I have come as far as I have in 3 years.
What’s next?
A continuation of what I have built so far while building and promoting Reflexology in the Workplace. Having worked with a solicitor’s firm and a large High School, I fully understand how reflexology in the workplace can benefit staff and welcome opportunities to share this with other businesses.
It will be interesting to see where the business is in another 3 years.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years and happy to hear from you if you are interested in working with me.
