October 2025 marks two years since I launched Rebecca’s Reflexology and Wellness in Wickham Market, Suffolk and what a journey it’s been!
When I first started out, I knew I wanted to help people feel better through offering reflexology treatments and wellness products, but I really had no idea just how much I’d learn and how many comfort zones I’d cross along the way.
There have been many highs: meeting wonderful clients, hearing how treatments have improved their wellbeing and bribing friends with pizza so I could pick their brains for business ideas. It’s certainly been a mix of determination, laughter, and late-night problem-solving.
Of course, there have been some challenges too, the quieter spells, the self-doubt, the endless to-do lists, and the steep learning curve that comes with running a business solo, including navigating the HMRC website for corporate tax (definitely not my favourite task). I’ve learned that success isn’t about everything going perfectly to plan, it’s about striving to do better and not giving up, especially when I feel as if I’m not making progress.
Over these two years, as I said, I’ve stepped well outside my comfort zone many times and can now say I enjoy attending local networking events around Suffolk, giving talks on reflexology and wellbeing, and sharing simple hand reflexology techniques that people can use at home to reduce stress. I’m now waiting for the next comfort zone to step out of, I’m sure it’s not far away!
Running a small business has taught me patience, resilience, and the value of community support. I would not be where I am now if it were not for my clients, friends, and supporters who have been part of this journey. Whether you’ve booked a treatment, shared and commented on my posts, offered advice, or simply encouraged me, thank you. You’ve helped turn my idea into a thriving local reflexology practice.
Here’s to the next chapter, continuing to grow, learn, and bring the benefits of reflexology to even more people in Suffolk and beyond.
